ST. ALBERT MINOR HOCKEY PROGRAMS

High Performance

The Raiders and Jr Raiders programs offer a high-performance hockey stream (AA & AAA) for players within the St. Albert Minor Hockey Association.

The St. Albert Raiders program provides players U13 and older with the opportunity to step into a competitive, high-performance environment built on passion, tradition, and excellence.

Players in this stream are selected through a formal tryout process and proudly represent St. Albert as members of the Raiders.

The Jr Raiders program serves as an introductory high-performance development pathway for younger players aspiring to reach AA or AAA levels—while remaining within their local hockey community.

Community

Players in the St. Albert Minor Hockey Association’s Community Hockey program are placed on teams with others of similar skill and ability through a structured evaluation process.

STA Program (U9 - U18)

Teams compete in the Edmonton Federation Hockey League (EFHL), playing an 18–20 game regular season with travel throughout the Edmonton area.

In addition to scheduled games, teams take part in regular weekly practices and may participate in tournaments or other development opportunities throughout the season. Please note that additional team-based costs may apply.

Intro to Hockey (U5 & U7)

Our Intro to Hockey program supports teams at the U5 and U7 levels, where players take their early strides in the game. At this stage, our focus is on creating a positive and welcoming environment where young players can form friendships, build confidence, and develop foundational hockey skills through fun and fair play.

Recreation

St. Albert Minor Hockey remains committed to offering a Recreational Hockey option through the Edmonton Federation Hockey League (EFHL) for players in U13, U15, and U18.

This program provides participants with a less structured hockey experience. There are 1-2 initial meet-and-greet practices and 18 games during the season.

The focus is on participation, fun and meeting new people.
